"He? You talking about the little birdie?" he's referring to Tim, because Robin, obviously. He frowns, expression crinkled with concern as he hurriedly steps inside. John hadn't even considered the possibility of Tim going to the cops-- he should feel bad enough about himself already!

"You think he'd go that far?" it's somewhat rhetorical, because even as he's asking, he's also concluding that ain't no one wants to involve Duplicity officials, anyway. Next thing's next and they're all stuck in the zoo, or something stupid.

I'll even say please," it's his usual jokingnotjoking# thing, because he doesn't feel like he needs to walk on eggshells around Riddler, even if he probably really ought to.
