I signed a contract with Dr. Lecter. I think I'm going to like him.

I know Lecter. He's an interesting man. I think he will be a much better match for you, he's a very understanding man.

I know he can help me. Things are already better now between me and Alfred because he was there.

He struck me as someone who would be quite adroit at negotiation of conflict. And he won't humiliate you like Pennyworth did.

His rules are more defined and strict and there's punishment if I break them but you're right it's not like that. Structure is supposed to be good for me. I guess we'll see.

Strict isn't an issue if it's defined and clear and reasonable. So long as you're not being set up to fail.

Did you know that Alfred and the doctor are a thing? That may have had something to do with why I ended up with him.

No, I didn't. I've only seen Lecter a couple of times, once entirely by accident, and Alfred and I are not close. I barely knew him in Gotham and my few experiences with him here, he's usually on the run from the officials.

So you're from the same place. What do you know of him? Any little bit helps.

Alfred Pennyworth, British born, served in the SAS, I believe. At some point was befriended and employed by Thomas Wayne, philanthropic billionaire, and became his bodyguard, butler, and was written as the legal ward of his son, Bruce, should anything happen to Thomas and his wife, Martha.

When they were murdered, he assumed guardianship of the then twelve year old Bruce. He seems to be doing an adequate job raising a deeply traumatised, highly intelligent child. I don't really know the man. He seems devoted to the child.

He sure hasn't mentioned some of that. What do you suppose he'd say about you? Before I go ahead and ask him myself.

I really don't know. Probably not to trust me, that I'm dangerous. Possibly he'd call me insane. I don't know. He comes from a couple of years in my future.

Doesn't seem very fair. I'll keep that in mind.

I can be dangerous. And by some standards, I'm probably insane. Gotham shapes us that way.

Even if that's true you've still been a better friend to me then people who might be considered more mentally stable. I'll take my chances.

I want to make more friends but it can be so hard to find people who understand. Do you know of anyone like that I could meet?

I'm not very good at making friends either.

The woman I'm contracted with, Ginger Hale, is a very kind person. Maybe you two would get along?
